Painting Landscape/waterscape in Watercolor
One-Day Workshop
Saturday, March 7, 2020
Venue: Barnes Corner Gallery, Wilson, NC
Registration: contact Pegi Sharp at: pegisharp@gmail.com
In this one-day workshop, you’ll be using watercolors to create a beautiful waterscape painting. Beyond that, you'll learn a tremendous amount of watercolor technique: Layering, transparency, blending and losing edges, a little magic. JJ's fresh approach to watercolor inspires students and encourages them to experiment with new techniques and ideas!
JJ will begin with a brief introduction to watercolors and do a step-by-step demonstration from a photo reference. After JJ's demo students will have the remainder of the class time working on their own painting from a photo while JJ provides one-on-one instruction tailored to your level. He will provide the photos to paint from. To wrap up, JJ will have a brief critique and a question & answer session.
OBJECTIVES
Focus will be given to the wet-on-wet technique of watercolor and on the following topics:
