Most painters spend their days at the easel inside their studio or home.  This weekly plein air class will take artists with some experience out of the studio to paint and create in lovely places found right in or near downtown Cary while being guided by artist, JJ Jiang. JJ will give brief demos, onsite instruction, and guidance according to the need of each participant. JJ will also address the painting composition, coping with outdoor lighting changes, how to simplify the view, etc. Sessions will focus on both park-like landscapes as well as city or urban views.  JJ will be using watercolors, but all mediums are welcome for this class, and JJ will work with each artist in their particular medium.  JJ believes that all of us can learn from and inspire each other, no matter what medium we choose to use.  At the conclusion of the four sessions, JJ will conduct a critique of the works from this class. In the event of inclement weather, the class will be held in the VAC gallery, and photographs provided by JJ will be used for our painting reference and inspiration.

A suggested supply list will be provided once registration and payment is complete.
