My work tends to focus on elements of the past, the environment of man and his surroundings, shadows and light.
Much of my subject matter is about the common man and/or woman. It is a slice of the subject's life and my goal is to arouse interest in the situation. Who are these people? Why do they look as they do? Are they in danger? Or just dangerous? Are they happy or sad? Why?
When people always ask for my artist statement I do provide one but I've never liked to explain my work - if you've made a painting and that's how you wanted it to be - hopefully it can speak for itself and whatever it says to the viewer - there is no wrong or right message. Each person interprets something a little different from the same picture.
